1966:      

The Vietnam war was in full swing
Gatorade had just been invented

“A Man for All Seasons” won the Best Picture Oscar

There had never been a “Super Bowl”
Medicare for the aged was initiated July 1, 1966

Cassette tapes were just being introduced
The Boston Celtics played the LA Lakers for the NBA Championship  (!)    
Surveyor I soft landed on the Moon June 2, 1966
“Strangers in the Night” won the Grammy for Record of the Year
The FDA released "the Pill" for human use
The first episode of "Star Trek" aired on September 8, 1966
Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, Va.  graduated 396 students on June 6, 1966

It has been 39 years since we graduated back on June 6, 1966; That means it is now less than one year 'til our 40th rolls around and then only ten more 'til the BIG 50th!! It is never too early to start planning!!
